Previous problem before blown engine
Ok their was always a ticking noise froming from the drivers side head. Was told that all LS1's have a slight tick to em. Never did sound too good but not quite loud enough to be concerned about. Heard a rattle noise coming out of the exhaust pipe. Noise would be loud enough to hear inside the car at 2500 rpm range and die off in the upper range. I checked the exhaust all over nothing loose. Couple of buddys said it might be that I had rotted out cats. The car only has 17,000 miles on it the cats should not be rotted. I think when I drove my car through the water the stress of trying to make it through finally threw a rod. OR THE ENGINE COULD JUST BE HYDROOCKED. Its been sitting for days now. Does a hydrolocked engine dry out? If so then im taking the car and getting it fixed under the warranty.

well this is what im saying. If I take it to the dealership and they tell me that it cant be fixed under warranty then ill take it to the insurance and for the quote that the dealership gave me on a engine install and the qote moore performance gave me the insurance is going to go witht the one from moore performance. 5000 theirs 8200 dealership.

Z02, check out these threads on MORE

I'd talk with SRP if I was going to build an LS1 engine in the Charlotte area. Between MORE & SRP - SRP is my choice.
