I'm looking at ls1howto.com and I'm seeing a bunch of good stuff but what I can't confirm is if I need to take the heads off in order to change the lifters on an ls1. If anyone can give me any info on this I'd greatly appreciate it. Thatnks.

 

Yes, you have to pull the heads.
