Default Need Cam Info

I have a 1999 C5 coupe. I have Corsa catbacks, Cold air intake , and a Hypertech Power Programmer. I want to do a cam change. I want usable power gain through the RPM range and would really like a pronounced lope at idle. I realize that I do not want to be to radical with my cam selection so I do not sacrifice drivability and reliability, and I do not have a Z06 so I do not have the platform to go monster power. I am looking at a cam in the 235 range for duration and 585 range for lift at 112 LSA. Will this cam give me adiquite power gain, and a pronounced lope, and do I need to upgrade valve springs?

I did read the cam guide and figured that I should upgrade the springs.
I am pretty sure that my choice is pretty good for performance without going overboard. Will I get a pronouned lope with the 235 duration and the 112 LSA?? Also some cam manufacturers say that this particular cam requires a tune. This cam is not mild enough that the cars computer coupled with the power programmer won't compensate?? Forgive my ignorence on the subject!
