ok crank plug install and removal advice?

like i stated before i have the cast iron 402 with about 4 k miles on it i have found the leak comming from behind the pilot bearing. Are the parts i need the same as from the stock GM crank? i am going to guess and say yes since its the same bearing and could anyone help me with ideas on how to remove and install the new one so i dont F it up!
it looks like it has a set depth its suppose to be at. i cant find specs for it any place
