The TR 220 was my first cam when i bought the car brand new. I matched that to a Yank SY3500 and it really woke the car up. Nice choice!

Currently running a G5X3/Vig3600... night and day.. It's a process..

Good luck.

I have a 99 Z28 that is stock so far with the A4. Can I go with the 220/220 cam without changing torque converter?

Yes it is a good cam but if you talked to Pat G, I would think that this is what he recommmends
218/220 .604/.581 114+2 LSA

it will come with a 41.x to 42 IVC and ~(-8*) overlap,
Nice cam for a good ~30>35 rwhp increase if installed properly
Probably a better idea to go with the specs noted above.

For what it is worth, I also ran a 220/220 114 originally. It is a really decent 'smaller' cam. Its TQ curve is somewhat similar to stock..your power gains are pretty much evenly distributed throughout the Rpm range (2500-6000). It did start to fall off of power pretty rapidly after 6200 Rpms.

That it why a lot of people go for the 224/224 cam's. You normally can carry that power a couple hundred Rpm's higher..hence a little more HP.

The specs Predator-Z gave you will keep your idle pretty stealthy (but there is a noticeable 'burble' lope); but also will allow you some extra Rpm's on top.

Oh, and best never to lie to Dad! They always find out!

Good luck..

Don't track the car, just play on the street. Plus it's a stock A4 with a tune, haven't got a stall but I'm probably going to get a 3200 here in the next week or so since the car is down for modifications being done.
