Excellent customer service from them! I just dropped $3k on my MS3/PRC 5.3 2.5 heads setup and have absolutely nothin but good feedback on them.

Default I need you guys' help and input

I spoke with Tony Mamo from AFR yesterday (Great Guy).

My biggest battle in my head is do I go with TSP's 5.3 Stage 2.5 Heads with the 224R Cam or do I just get the AFR 205's with the 6016 Cam?

I understand that the 205's will have more velocity hence make more torque, but is it a worth while diffence in performance to justify the cost? My challenge is, I like to buy the best, but...I don't go out to street race anymore (I might get in a quick shot with a another car if I'm out driving around) and I don't go to the track as often as I used to.

To OP, 59cc is a bit too much mill for such small a cam. Your DCR will go a bit high (8.94).

5.3L (2.02 int valves) 63cc with .040 gasket is much better (8.78 DCR) but better quench.

I think that this setup would be nice in a vette if auto then 2800>3000 stall

I bought my whole motor from Texas-Speed and continue to be a return customer. John and Matt are great guys to deal with. I would recommend TSP for anything and everything to anyone reagarding LSx performance parts and knowledge.

Untuned it was in the upper 420s and had it tuned but never put it back on the dyno.

I sprayed the car so I didn't get any numbers on motor

Well if you want to buy the best, I think you answered your own question on what to do. You get what you pay for.

TSP is good ****.. I have their true duel system on my car. I also bought my Kooks headers from them. Didn't have a problem at all!

I'd go with AFR heads.. but I'm biased.
