Default ticking question

hi all i have a 2000 ss camaro cam only...its a tr230 with oil pump double roller, 7.4s and prc dual golds....my question is that i have a ticking noise pretty much all the time...nothing loud just sounds like a lifter noise i can even hear it when driving next to my car. I have about 2500 miles on it and have change the oil once after about a thousand miles...The oil did look a little bit grey like metal...but nothing bad...magnet on the drain plug had little to nothing on it and i even cut open the oil filter and little to no metal there..pen magnets in the oil and filter came out clean...(was just trying check with them) thunder racing told me some noise would be normal due to the fast ramp rate of the cam..i was hoping that pat g or someone could chime in and help out..was running ams oil and now running royal purple..car runs good and havent had any issues just worries me...any help would be great as this is now my dd

did you measure to see what size pushrods you were supposed to use or just stick the 7.4s in and go?
