Making a GMPP Hot-Chili-cam
Be sure to let everyone know your results when you get it in.What valve springs you going to use?Those are aggresive lobes.I was thinking about the next one up-the 223/231 but am more likely to go 224/230 XFI when i do heads and cam soon.Be interested to see results from any of that new line of cams.
I think i would go with the patriots.I realize the lift is not extreamly high but i think you are right to be concerned about the ramp rates of the lobes.If you checked out the specs on those new valve springs comp is recommending for the new cams;those springs have more pressure then the patriot extremes.I would do some checking.Patriot extremes dont cost much more than the golds-might be good.BTW i do think that cam will work well as long as your looking for power and torque over the whole curve and not a big top end dyno number.I saw GTO owner had good results with a custom 220/228 cam-picked up low and midrange and equaled peak top end from the bigger cam he had before.
