Lifter Stuck Help please

Exclamation Lifter Stuck Help please
hi guys, i'm currently doing a cam swap, used home depot rods to hold the lifters up, drivers side went in all the way, but passenger went in about half way, came here read thru threads and searched and so i went and got some penmagnets. well now the penmagnet broke and it stuck to the lifter which is still stuck. is there any other options left to do, or do i have to pull the head now?

You can't get anything on the end of the magnet? needle nose or anything? If not, you sound screwed.

no its about 5-6'' down there... head is almost off hopefully i can get it out

You'll be able to get it out with the head off. Worst case you'll have to take the plastic lifter holder. Easily done with head off.

the pen magnets broke because they were thin, i pulled it out and the magnet along with 4inches of tiny rod didnt, but pulled the head off and solved it, much easier then i thought it would be. Should have bought a set of heads...
