Default engine swap

i have a 98 z28 that im swaping the ls1 with a lq4 and 4l80e. was woundering what harness i would have to use. also i have heard that the 98 ecm is not the most desireable ecm to use. i have read that when changing from a 4l60e to 4l80e you have to use the bfh mod to the trans tunnel but how extensive of hammering is it? also the article said u have to cut the ears off the trans. anyone have any pics of this or know where i can find the info? also will i need to change the fuel pump? any help would be appreciated. thanks, shawn

I am sure the driveshaft length is different but THINK (about positive) it will fit with no BFH. I also think as long as it is an E it will work on your 98 pcm. I have not done this swap though so i defer to others with more hands on knowledge.....

Do a search on 4l80e swap and youll come up with a thread that has tons of info that is very helpful. I believe it is title "Everything that is needed for a 4l80e swap"
