Possible missing crank angle sensor
Possible missing crank angle sensor I bought a 0 miles short block from a friend of a friend. The block ID tells me it's a 99 LS1 and the pan is for a F-body.
I'm starting to piece all the little things together that are needed to get this thing running. The engine has a cam angle sensor (above the rear main seal), oil level (in the pan right?), coolant temp (in the head). I seem to be missing the crank angle sensor on/in the timing cover. What gives? I can get the sensor, but what else does it need? I can only assume it reads off the crank.
