At this point I have the cam installed... can the cam be installed reversed (180 degrees off from the crank)... I know motor will spin and the valves will be fine but was told the cam position sensor might get cranky... no pun intended. Will it cause any problems?

All you need to worry about the crank when installing the cam is whether cylinder 1 was at TDC. The crank doesn't know or care if it's at TDC for the power stroke or the intake stroke, as that is determined by the cam (which effects the valve events).
That's what lining up the dots (6 oclock cam gear, 12 oclock crank gear) on the timing gears ensures, that cylinder #1 is at TDC when both valves are closed, i.e. the power stroke.

Thanks for the reply. That's what I thought, just wanted to make sure. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
