what cams are ya'll running without headers? i assume you would want a split profile (more exhaust duration). thanks.

TR224-114 here. Although I plan to get headers next summer, it runs without any problems and makes much more power even on the stock manifolds. I do have Loud Mouth catback, though which is almost like not even having a muffler.

I have a friend that ran a TR230 on the 99 manifolds with just an ORY and borla at one time.

I think you can run any cam without headers, it just won't make as much power, obviously...but if you are thinking about getting a cam optimized for stock manifolds, then I think you're right about the split duration.

I read a quote recently: "...it doesn't make sense to get a cam optimized for heads/parts you don't have." However, like Cal above I will get a cam with future plans on exhaust work. It may not be optimized for stock exhaust, but there's no doubt I'll make a hell of a lot more power than stock. Hope this helps.
