Default Input needed for a possible H/C/I setup

Here's what I'm thinking for my '99 SS (roughly 61K miles)... I'd like some input, good or bad:

Thunder Racing TRak Cam (231/234 .640/.590 112 LSA)

PRC 220cc 5.3L Stage 2.5 CNC Ported Heads

FAST 92/90 (NW TB)

Kooks 1 7/8 Headers

My car already has Futral pushrods, ported oil pump, ls2 timing chain... so I'd probably need to get some decent lifters and headgaskets, and I'll be good to go.

Let me know what you guys think.

Well, I already have the cam so I guess I'm just figuring out what heads I need.

WTF? Why are you hijacking my thread to try and buy parts that were offered to me?

Is this going in a daily driver car? Your cam is ground on an LSK lobe, which isn't recommended for a daily driver because of the severe loads on the valvetrain. Do a search on "LSK daily driver" for a good discussion on cam lobes.

The PRC 5.3 stage 2.5 with 62cc chambers and a .040" thick head gasket will get you roughly 11.3 static compression and 8.7 dynamic compression (assuming +4° advance ground in). Your cam has quite a bit of overlap, with 9° at .050" lift. My opinion is that you are going a little large on the cam, but it will work fine with the proverbial "good tune".

I appreciate the feedback... This will not be a daily driver whatsoever, I didn't think this cam was as aggressive as some of the others people are using. I should be able to get a very good tune, as there are quite a few poeple around Columbus that have a lot of experience tuning LSX cars.
