Had a Caddy Lifter Fail.
What lifters to use now?
Many people have issues with the LS7 lifters?

any opinions welcome.

 

If I ever change my lifters Im going with the Morel's, they are pricey (around $500.00) but I've heard no bad on them that I can recall and will take the RPMs.

 

I've heard lots of good things about the LS7's....like they last a long time and are reliable as stockers. I've ordered a set of 16 at the dealer today actually. They were listed in the GMPP catalog right over the caddy ones.

I'm sure if you're going into a super huge cam build etc you'd want to pay the price for comps, lunati, or morel lifters.

 

I use LS7's, they serve me very well.

You can check Lunati's pricing on their lsx lifter, as I believe it's a Morrel in a different box, the box being the only difference.

I there are many threads on GM's lifters, you figure the amount of problems they have per thousand is lower than any other aftermarket company.
