I'm looking to have the motor (LT1) in my 97 camaro rebuilt and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a shop in the south Texas area? I've basically given the car to my dad and he was originally going to take it to American Engine Installations, but they are going to rebuild it to factory specs. I suggested that since we're going through the trouble and spending the money that he might as well have some performance parts thrown back in there instead of going all stock. Recommendations and ball park estimates would be nice. For the record, the heads are cracked, so they will need to be replaced. Thanks for any help!

+1 for the ls1. and where are you at in south texas. i know there are a lot of sponsors where im at in houston. g-force, hpe, pavlock, lmr, lme, just to name a few.

 

I'm located in San Antonio, but we're willing to transport the vehicle elsewhere for quality work/good deal. The LS1 is a possibility, right now we're trying to determine costs to figure out exactly what route we'll end up going. I think my dad is probably actually more interested in doing an LT1 to LT4 conversion just to be a little different. Anyways... any info is appreciated!

 

We do tons of lt1's as well.. Ill have a 383 ready in a week or so depending on how fast we can knock out the cars we have right now.. If you want something different I can build to fit your needs! Give me a call!
