roller rockers and springs what things should be taken into consideration when trying to decided what size roller rocker to use. (1.7 or 1.8's) what role does springs play in this

are you planning a cam?
if yes stay 1.7 to 1
if no then 1.8 to 1
depends on how manny miles on the springs you have...
if you got 30000+ it couldn't hurt..
hell if you have 1000 miles it never hurts to go with better springs

Re: roller rockers and springs yes Iam planning a cam swap, but the reason i asked was because if you can increase the total lift of a valve with a cam and even more with 1.8 ratio roller rocker together, why not use the 1.8 over the 1.7 . I thought maybe the problem would be valve float, but then thought to just upgrade springs, or could it be clearance that is the problem? thanks for the reply.
Re: roller rockers and springs Aside from valve float you would probably run into P to V clearance issues and a lot of the cams sold are recommended NOT to be used with 1.8 rockers
