Real quick Q. Stupid Q, but I got a SLP oil pump and SLP double roller timing chain, and I noticed the spacers that came with teh chain have gaskets for em. But the oil pump does not come with any gaskets.
I am NOT using the spacers as the SLP pump is already built to clear the chain, but does it need a gasket between the pump and block? Or is the gasket only for if you use the spacers?

After you change the pump and have the chain in take your crank pully bolt put it back in and turn the moter over by hand. Watch to see if any oil is leaking out the side's where the pump meets the block
