Need some advice
Need some advice, going to be racing my friend's 2003 Mustang Gt at the track. We both have Nitto nt555r drag radials, but he has full exhaust and stock clutch 5 spd, while my 98 WS6 is stock with just a muffler cutout, built a4 with shift kit, but that's basically all I have. Can anyone give me some free mods that I could possibly do, not expecting much just every bit can count. My car needs an oil change so I'll probably use Quaker State Horsepower, that's what I usually use. And then (yes I know it's not wise) but take out my air filter. I've heard that drag radials will hook better while lowering the psi, but I don't know what to set it to. Anyone have any pointers? It's just a friendly quarter mile race at the drag strip on Friday, but every little bit helps, I'll probably be seafoaming too.

You should be just fine. Take out your back seats (and your passenger seat if you want). Take out your spare tire and jack, your floor mats, poop before you race, etc.
I have the Nitto 555R's too. Make sure you get at least a 3 second burnout, and your car should dead hook and rape him out of the hole. Without a good burnout, my car wheel hops to a 2.0 60 foot, and with a good burnout it launches to a 1.6 60 foot. You should win.

Ooops, also forgot. Set your tire pressure to 18psi, and do your burnout in the edge of the waterbox where it's a little wet.
Lastly, make sure to practice waving at him for when you drag his ***.
