oil pressure

i just put in 4 quarts of mobil 1 full synthetic 5w30 and one quart of lucas oil stabilizer and the oil pressure most of the time is above 40. my question is it ok if its higher most of the time than 40. i was thinking maybe after driving the car more the oil till get less thicker so maybe the pressure will drop. in my lt1 i ran the same oil with the stabilizer but the pressure was high for a little than it would always drove to 40

I have a ported ls6 oil pump and I see 50psi at idle and 70-80 psi at 6k rpm. Haven't had any problems.

Do you guys have aftermarket pressure gauges? Mine just has line markers.

Nope my stocker has a 20 40 80 with marks inbetween each #. What year is your car.

lower than 40 seems low. my 02 6.0 runs 45 psi hot idle (55 cold), 60psi on the highway, and 70-75 at WOT

Ditch the Lucas. Good oil has everything you need in it.
