more spring tool

This is a dumb question but how do you use it. it had no instructions and i have never changed out the springs before.

Remove the rocker arm and replace with the tool. Put a ratchet on the tool and pry down to compress the spring. Once you remove the locks (magnet works great) release pressure and lift the tool up to remove spring.

You know about holding up the valves with air or other means right?
