whats my best option? I want to put together a decent engine for my v6. Im debating on buying in piece by piece or in a whole. I want to modify it and I aint in really any type of hurry to put it in.
Im either thinking about an LQ4 6.0 or an LS1. Ive done some research on both. But my main thing is Id like to get so knowledgeable advice on the two.
Id also like to see the average price I should pay for the two engine as a whole and as a long block or short block. Id also want a t56 and ive seen them go for 1500-2000 for the entire swap.
On Ebay I can get a Lq4 for like 1500 with an auto 4x4 trans, but then i need to buy the t56 and intake and whatever else I need. Or there is an Ls1 with t56 for 3500.
But I wouldnt mind buying a block and doing the mods to it while its tore down.
