Default Cam before headers

I know that a good set of LT's are usually put on when doing a cam. Is it a bad idea to do the cam, springs, ect, before doing the headers. I can't afford to do both at the same time. Why not do the cam first?

You will notice more power from the long tube than the cam right now. Than once you get a cam installed it will preform that much better. Nothing wrong with doing a cam first you just may be disapointed in the power you recieve.

Yeah I agree doing the cam right now you may be disappointed in the power you get but then when you get headers its that much sweeter.I say go for it then get a good set of LT's and you'll be happy!!

I had to run my cam for about a month and a half while I was waiting on my long tubes to show up. To me, it was very dissapointing to spend all that cash on the cam, and a)not be able to hear the lope - sounded almost like stock even though it was on a 112lsa, and b)the power increase just wasn't there. On the plus side though - the car ran almost like stock without any tunning, and then with a little mild street tune ran great - just down on power.
