Default Performance Mods for LS3/2010 Camaro

So I've always browsed the ls1tech site but never really registered for some reason. But anyway I finally decided to and I was wondering if I could get some help . After graduating in May and finally getting a great job I ordered the 2010 Camaro SS/RS 6speed fully loaded this past Tuesday and it's supposed to come in about 6-8 weeks according to the dealership. I currently have a 1968 Camaro which I built from the frame up over the past 6 years (mostly the first 4) with my father, so I'm not new to the car scene. However I am mostly familiar with old small blocks etc and I haven't done a ton of research on the LS3 yet.

So I'm wondering if you guys knew of any sites you could direct me to that would have a substantial amount of bolt ons etc. that I could put on my new Camaro when it comes in. I've looked at jegs/summit racing but being that the LS3 just came out in 08? (i think) there doesn't seem to be a whole ton of companies out there yet who have parts for the LS3 and if they do it's mostly tailored to the Corvette. The new Camaro comes with 422hp and 408 ft. lbs of torque, and won't be driven more than 5 or 6,000 miles a year and I don't plan on beating the **** out of it or racing it etc. I'd really just like to throw on some headers, exhaust, air intake...but if available I'd like to throw on a bigger intake/throttle body and a nasty lumpy cam (as long as it maintains enough vacuum for the power brakes...if thats still how the new engine/brake combos work etc.). So again any suggestions/sites/opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yea I figured external parts would be hard to get (headers/exhaust etc). But since the corvette all ready had the LS3 and they were being internally modified I thought that some cam/valvetrain stuff would be available.

And yea that blower sounds good...the camaro comes with 10.7:1 compression...so I'm assuming I'd need new pistons with less than 9.5:1 comp in order to use that .

You should be able to find cams and stuff for it I would think, but bolt ons not so much yet.

Yes, there are a lot of similarities in the basic design between the LSx motors and the Chrysler 5.7L/6.1L Hemis.

Really there are a ton of parts and combinations for the LS3. Many of the cams, intakes and other components are close to the L92 and LS3 combos out there. The headers will be similar to those on the G8.

There are also a lot of cool parts ready that will be introduced in the next several months.

After talking to people at SEMA it is obvious that there is a ton of development on new parts for the Camaro.

why not just leave a new car stock and not void your warranty? bolt ons may fly, but not a cam like you want. and remember there IS a break in period on new cars, so dont go out and beat the **** out of it. go throw GMPP and get whatever they will allow you too under warranty. these LS3 vettes are being held back big time by intake and exhaust and ive seen bolt ons pick up #s ls1 guys could only hope for. 20+rwhp, from a cat back, ****!
