Oil in catch can
Oil in catch can I have about 200 miles on my 427 Warhawk blocked motor. My catch can fills with oil in about 40-50 miles. I am running a pcv from the valve cover to the can and can to intake. Have a breather on the other valve cover. I noticed that my valve covers have no baffling where the breather/pcv in installed. I installed a breather with a pcv nipple on the top to add a baffle to the line to the can. Emptied can and 50 miles later can is full. Car runs fine with no smoke until can fills then oil gets in intake. I've seen people with vacuum pumps, but they didn't seem to fill the can as quick before vac. pump. I wonder if the pcv line is just sucking oil through with the limited to no baffling. I'm baffled.

I have a 402 an machined all the baffeling out of my valve covers. I would recommend just putting a breather on each of the valve covers and capping off all the the pcv fittings. If you have the pcv connect with a breather on one of the valve covers it basically creates a huge vacuum leak. Depending on the size of the cam if you are not making that much vacuum at idle and part throttle then the pcv valve will most likely be further open the it should be. Bottom line rip it off the car and run a breather on both sides.
