ls2 into a 02bird a freind of mine has an 02 trans am, he asked me if i have a ls1 crank to put into the ls2 so he could use his pcm????????????
i was under the imppresion that you could easyly swap the motor into a bird, and thenget the car tuned. does anyone know anything about this or what the hell he is talking about. he state that. he thinks that he wont be able to use his computer with the new motor and the ls1 crank for some reason will alow him to????

Some of the newer LS2's have a different reluctor wheel on the crank. That has to be changed in order to be used in an Fbody. Do a search. This has been discussed a million times.
does he know about the lingerfelter conversion box, its going to be like 250 bucks and it will let him use a 58 tooth reluctor and 4x cam gear on his t/a, its a plug and play deal.
