Default LS7 intake limit

What is the limit for the LS7 intake as far as RPM's? What is the most power anyone has made with the LS7 intake?

Does any one know what the RPM limit would be on these intakes? Will they make power at 8K?

With just a good port match, an LS7 motor that I know very well, made within 9hp from 6500 to 7600 with a 90mm throttle body...opening it up for a 92mm made only a handful more. The dyno pulls were stopped at 7600 for long-term durability. Look for that pump gas, hydraulic cam motor in a certain red Firebird soon. Numbers did not quite start with a '7'. Now, after that tease, details later.

Well from 6500 to 7200 mine only drops 14 HP so I don't think it's doing just too bad?!

Your answer is.....It Depends

There are guys everywhere making over 700 Horspower NA at the Crankshaft.

Depends on cubic inch.
Depends on the Cam
Depends on the compression

the XER lobs are aggressive to the point where the higher RPM range tends to float the valves. the lobs are more geared to a solid cam where killer spring pressure is not a problem. the XER for example you really don't want to go past a 244 dur even a 240 dur would be more suitable and this is why you see 400 motors with a 238/244 having +2 in the came so you can shift at 6200 and stay away from 6600 plus that's where the damage happens XER is great for the mid hp area. there are other cams out that are better but not fully released yet but them aggressive lobs are how you get a edge with a N/A car in turbo super charged world
