15 peak horses seems like a fair trade for an average of 20 ft/lbs of torque. I'm psyched, those are some great numbers and my combo is very close to yours.

In looking at the logs it appears that I need to tweak the mass air or the transfer tables.

I am using a Abaco 97MM Digital Mass Air so I can lean it out at the higher flow range.

It logs more air flow than the L92 that I ran several weeks ago. Those numbers are skewed and I want to see why.

More in a bit.

Thanks for the info. and I'll wait to here more. My reason for wanting to know is I am running a 850 carb on a LS2 with L92 heads a 595/598 232/234 cam and just bought a L76 intake and 90mm NM TB to put on the motor. Thanks Rod

I ran an 850 carb on a L92 with a Lunati 232/238 .599 cam. It didn't make any more power than our Holley Ultra HP 750. As a matter of fact the 750 made more power. We installed the LS3 intake and dropped about the same as this LS2. I have to pull all the numbers off the Dyno computer to quote the results.

Remember I am on an engine dyno so these numbers are at the crankshaft.

Thanks

Yes, Thanks for sharing this info. Would there be any advantage to having this L76 intake ported? If so who do you recommend. Mine on the dyno (rwhp) pulled all the way to 7000rpm. It never dropped off. I know I don't have a good tune on it. I ran it (MSD 6012) locked out at 28* then 30* then 32* it would only gain 2 to 3 rwhp each pull. I decided to run at 28* because 5 to 6 rwhp wasn't worth it on the street. Rod

P.S it made 410rwhp thru a turbo 350 and a Ford 9"

Yeah the carb deal for us peaked at about 6900. I had instructed Don (Don West the dyno owner) not to pull past 7000 RPM. Don is one of those guys who wants to pull it till the valves float.

Don looked at the intake while I was making the switch and commented on the amount of sharp edges and flash that was in the manifold. He felt that there was a little power there. I see that most guys who clean up the plastic manifolds claim 10 to 12 horsepower. That seems reasonable. I don't think that cleaning them up is rocket science. But I would not trust anyone as some people forget how fragile that manifold is.

I have had problems with the timing being stable from run to run. It will log KR and take about 4 degrees out during the pull. Funny I don't have the knock sensors hooked up.

The weird thing is that the LS3 heads really like the LS2 4" bore. The logged airflow through this thing is better than a LS3 that I ran with a larger cam.
