402 0r 408 come on in. Just got my car with the 402 has 1 7/8 hooker super comp. headers and 3" ory with 3" hooker aero chamber cat back am missing the o2 sensors as they were bad and will be putting them and a racetronixs kit on to get it retuned and hopefully get it where it needs to be. My Questions is about exhaust smell it is very overwhelming I have been around plenty of big cam strokers and never smelled anything like this. But I am wondering if it will be different when it is retuned with the o2s back online. By the way There are no cats.
Once you get the O2's back online it should get your air/fuel back in line. It will still smell, just not as bad. I got to the point that I added the Magnaflow Cats to my exhaust system. After that I had no more smell it it really didn't hurt my performance at all.

If the exhaust system is new (specially headers), it will smell funny for a bit.
