Default Fired it up today... 416 Stroker

Pics of the motor are in another thread. The motor fired right up and sounds strong but is a bit too loud. Kooks headers with catted Y pipe and a Corsa exhaust. I will have to find something a little tamer...

http://www.fquick.com/videos/First_f...6_Stroker/7981

No problems other that the tach isn't working but my autometer tach is, so I will have to check into that...

Sounds great man. You think that's loud? What was your camera guy looking at inside the car (too dark) oil pressure? You definitely need to get us some more videos, and numbers

Yep the oil pressure was at 60psi but the tach isn't working. I will get some vids soon. Still have to bleed the brakes and clutch and a few other little things.

I was curious if you were going to have to sacrifice timing to run 12.1 : 1 compression on 93 octane. Glad to hear you didn't.

It is custom airbrushed. Started out as a plain black lid. The carbon fiber is painted on as well...

I ran 93 on my other other 408 at 12.1:1. I ran it as high as 12.5:1 with different heads and didn't have an issue.

The reason why your tack is now working is because your ls2 conversion kit is defective. You need to cut two wires and switch them and your tach will work. Is it hard to start too sometimes? The two wires that need to be switch are the two outer ones. I hope this helps

Adding a resonator may be enough if you have the room.
