I was talking to a tech at the GM Performance Parts display at St. Paul World of Wheels car show last weekend. I told him about the stroked 442ci LS7 motor my son and I are having built for his '87 Vette. I told him we haven't decided on heads yet. He said to wait about 6 months if we can because GM is coming out with heads that will be much better than the current LS7 heads. Anybody else know anything about this? I hope I'm not giving away some top secret info here but he didn't make me promise secrecy. Oh, he also said to wait on the intake if we can because they've got a new intake coming out about that same time to blow the current ones away. Maybe this is all old news to you guys but I'm kind of new to the LS tech stuff.

That catalog makes it look like they're available right now. These guys at the booth said whatever they were talking about won't be out for "about 6 months." I should have pressed them for a model or part number or something I suppose. Are LSX heads out now? Sorry, like I said, I'm very new to all this LS stuff.

 

Got tired of waiting. Went with the all pro heads.
