Heads best bang for buck
Heads best bang for buck So here is the dilemna, building up a 427 (and plan on boosting it later). But I trying to figure out what heads to go with. I have aftermarket rockers on my LS1 right now and really don't want to have something I paid so much for go to waste, so I want to re-use them. I wanted to know what heads could I put on here to get the most out of a N/A set-up until I decide to go the boost route. I have been told of LQ4/9 head L92's etc etc but I would also like to know which ones i could just do a swap with my aftermarket rockers and components.
I just bought a set of Lingenfelter CNC L92/LS3s , not too expencive either. PRC, WCCH, and Texas speed do them also.
You could really probably use the larger l92 style intake port with your 427ci.

Best Bang for the Buck= TrickFlow 4" Bore As Cast 220cc Cylinder Head... Fully assembled including .650 lift dual spring kit 1679.00... 300+cfm and thicker deck surface for boosted applications when you go down that path.
