Default LS3 2Bar MAP Sensor

I'm trying to find a part number (if it exists) for a LS3 MAP sensor replacement (Stock Part Number 12591290) that supports boosted applications and will fit into the factory manifold and connect to the factory harness.

The BOSCH Part Number for the OEM LS3 MAP Sensor is 0 261 230 146. I'm sure BOSCH makes multiple measurement ranges in this sensor family, now to just find them?????

Id try to see if the LSA or LS9 Map sensor will work in your application since they are both boosted from the factory.

Most MAPs are swappable without any work, and worst case you have to change two pins to make it work.

best bet is to call bosch, otherwise you will have to ship from overseas. the opal, fiat, and some other turbo diesels use them.

We'll I've managed to figure out why it's so difficult to get the right part number for this.

This is an excerpt from my thread on HPTuners.

Thanks man!!

I think I discovered why this has been such a challenge to find the right part number.

I managed to talk a local dealer into letting me look under the hood. Popped the cowl up and found two BOSCH Pressure Sensors (#1 and #3). At the time, I didn't realize that there were actually 3 pressure sensors on this engine.

Both sensors (#1 and #3) had the same part number (12591290). Both were BOSCH sensors. Both had the same BOSCH Part Number (0 261 230 146). #3 was made in Mexico. #1 was made in Germany.

I just ordered Part#12592525 noted from the post above. I'm hoping it's the #2 sensor. We'll see if it's the right one.

Wish me luck.

You can also get a 2 bar off the grand prix, and the cobalts ss that are supercharged if you get the one on top. The one after the supercharger is a 2.5 bar.

Slips right in. Bolts right in. Plugs right in. Took 5 minutes including the ecm recalibration.

$24 plus shipping. Total was around $35.
