Header Gains?
Header Gains? I have a 02 Z28 A4 3.23 car with a SLP Lid and smooth bellow. I was wondering how much of a gain in my ET times would i see with a set of longtubes and a y-pipe? I was thinking a set of pacsetters or preferably hookers cause im kinda on a budget. And for those of you that have installed these how big of a pain is it and what do i need to watch out for? Thanks!
i would say around .3 secs faster with headers. if you're really looking for et times go with 3.73 gears with a 3500-4000 torque converter.
but since your on a budget i would go with pacesetters with an off road y-pipe and a cutout in the i-pipe.

im not sure of the ET gain ive heard of .2 all the way up to .5 with a cut out (i doubt you'll see a half second gain though being nearly stock)
but LPP makes great stainless headers and Y i havent installed mine yet but from inspection they are great quality. you will want to make sure your getting the newer design though if you go with LPP
