Default Best type of ignition for new CT525 Race engine?

The new carbed LS3 CT525 race engine comes with a coil on plug style of ignition and I'm looking at my different ignition options? This is for an endurance racing application and high reliability is a priority. I would think that the "cop" ignition would be a more reliable ignition as distributors have there own weaknesses, but I'm not a big fan of the GM/MSD ECU's reliability record. Are there any other ECU's reccommended? I would be interested to hear other people's reccommendations and experiences with both style of ignitions. If I can't find a more reliable ECU, I'll probably have to switch over to a distributor style ignition and I would prefer not to switch back to an older and inferior technology.

If it's carbed, you don't need an ECU. You just need an ignition box to fire the plugs and control the timing. MSD would be the only choice, or switch to a distributor.
