Default LS7 vs LS3 intake??

So frim what Ive read, there is a lot of similarity between the LS7 and L92 heads. It appears that the LS7 heads are "basically" ported L92 castings. From the picks ive seen the LS7 intake port openings are a bit taller, looks like the floor of the port is a bit lower on them. I am aware of course that the valves are different and such.

Is this the case? I ask because I am pondering using an LS7 intake on a 408 with the L92 heads. With a bit of port matching could this work?

Why not just wait for FAST to get the LS3 version of the LSXR 102 out?

Both the Intake port and the bolt holes to mount the intake to the heads are in different locations on the LS7 heads -vs- the LS3/L92 heads.

Won't work that easy. One prob is,I'm pretty positive, that the bolt holes for the intake wont like up. There was someone on here that made an Ls7 intake work on L92 heads, But they said it was ALOT of work and wasnt worth the work for the small gain they saw.

You cant swap LS3 and LS7 intakes. The LS7 is wider and the bolt holes dont even come close to lining up.

LMAO.

When are you people going to wake up? Don't you understand if they had a version that actually worked it would have already been out. The LS7 version went from idea, to r&d, to production, to in the hands of consumers in about 4 months. FAST has been saying the are working on an L92 or LS3 version since the fall of 07.

I have to agree with you. Looks like we are out of luck with the after market. Maybe we will get a Super Vic?

The LS7 is a completely different. The motor is in its own category all the geometeries are different than any gen 3 or gen 4.
