OK here's my issue, I just sold my 243 heads and purchased L92 Heads. What intake would I be running for my 98 Camaro SS w/LQ9...? What intake would work on a budget such as a LS2 or LS3 or etc.... I would appreciate all the help posible. Thanks guys
if you have patience i would wait for the fast to come up within the next 8wks. call a few sponsors on here to get a realistic waiting period an make your decision based off that

What engine are you putting them on? The L92's only fit a 4" or bigger bore. If you are in the 6.0-6.2L size the LS3/L76 intake will be fine, don't waste your money on the FAST, for the $800-$900 for maybe 10 hp you could spend that on better parts or suspension mods and come out ahead.
Did you buy a shortblock also? Your L92 heads are not gonna fit your LS1 shortblock, sorry to be the one to inform you about that.
A cheap alternative (if you want to keep your L92 heads) is to find a 6.0 truck block, reuse you stock crank and rods, and just buy a set of pistons...or find a nice low mileage used 6.0 truck motor and sell your LS1, but then you have an iron block over your aluminum....
So, really unless you are gonna want to swap out your shortblock, gonna have to get rid of your L92 heads now...

OK, back to intake....you are REAL limited right now on teh L92 heads..not many choices (2 inj and 2 carb) should be it...and both Inj. intakes are "stockers"...and teh Vic Jr carb intake is the only "aftermarket" one currently. GMPP also makes a carb intake as well, but the Vic Jr is @ same cost, and no reason to skip over teh Vic Jr and go GMPP if you decided to go "carb style" intake. My .02

I think I might be leanin more to the LS3... I was reading a article where they were testing a LS2 with L92 Heads GTO... with the stock intake, LS3 and the Carb GMPP. The LS3 out flowed the others...
Ofcourse the L76/LS3 Intake is going to out-flow the stock L92 Truck Intake..lol
The L76 and the LS3 Intake are the same damn thing, only difference is the MAP Sensor on the LS3 Bolts down instead of clips down. I have a L76 on my setup and it has worked fine.

I know with the new results just posted Im getting the LSXR for LS3s. Looks like a solid 13-15rwhp gain across the board, on a stone stock engine. Ive been saving though specifically for this.
Hand porting can be so hit or miss on the stock intakes, or anything for that matter....heads, throttle bodies, etc.
"Ported doesnt always mean better" ( I should quote myself in my sig...lol)

"Are you sure about that??"
I believe their is a post somewhere on here from Richard at WCCH with flow data on the L92 truck intake vs the LS3 car intake and they were pretty close in flow down low, But up top the LS3 car had it beat.
