So I've had a problem with some squeaking coming from the belts in my ls2 gto. Yesterday I changed out the a.c. belt to see if that was the cause. The squeal hasn't gone away at all. If anything it's gotten worse. Pulley issue? Tensioner problem? A.C. Assembly problem? Thoughts?

Pull both belts off and run it (not too long) to see if it really is a belt/pulley issue.
I had a vaccum line backwards that was causing a nasty squeal from the valve cover gasket. Swapped it back and it went away. And mine sounded like some nasty belt squeal.

I just had this on my GMC Sierra. Thought it was the alternator bearing, but turned out to be the serpentine belt. I first put some soap on the belt and the squeal disappeared. $24 and a new belt later, no more squeal.
