Default LSX 427 NA Build Opinion needed

Hey guys, I finally have finally found new motivation to finishin the car's powerplant and driveline. Due to dropping some dead weight, and unfortunately wasting a lil over 5 years in a relationship that pulled me away from the car....I am gonna build a NA 427 LSX, I used to always want a Twin Turbo setup, however my TrailBlazerSS will be paid for in 2 years, and I will financially be able to purchase my dream car since 92' a Dodge Viper in Snakeskin Green so I dont wanna mess with the large additional cost of a TT setup...Here are my options

#1
LSX Block, and LSXR Heads or PRC Heads (PRC thru Texas Speed)

or

#2
LS7 Block with LS7 heads thru Texas Speed

The car will primarily be a street toy, but it will see more Autocross than a Strip. I do wanna put a "bolt on" style (100/125hp) N20 kit on it tho. CR 11:1-1.5:1....Not sure on Dry Sump since it will see AX, or stay wetsump. Keep in mind I work at a GM Dealer so I will be acquiring parts at Cost.

I can get the LSX for $1720.80 plus freight to my dealer ($130)
or
I am looking at Sheesnaz's LS7 block if it is new that he has listed in the classifieds.

I know the LSX would make the better buy because of the longevity (as long as nothing majorly detrimental happens) for future rebuilds or more power wanted. Not really concerned about the weight between the two. More so the cost effectiveness for my build as I will then have to put additional $$$ in machine work on the LSX over the LS7 which is set to go from the box virtually. So I thought I would turn to my long time friends here at LS1Tech and well known Engine Builders for their insight....

Thank you for your thoughts, it's glad to be back guys!! I look forward to sharing alot of info with you again, & helping with FB and appearance mods as well....

I will say, if you are going to stay n/a with a small shot, I'd go with the cheaper of the two.... the LS7.

The only reason to go with the more expensive is if you plan (in the future) to build big power, but according to your original post it looks like your not.

If you're staying N/A (and possibly using a small shot of nitrous), you don't need the added strength of the iron LSX block. Since you don't need that, you definitely don't want that extra 100 or so pounds. I vote LS7 for you. I'll stand by that everyday of the week, and two times on Sunday.

I feel like a Mamo ported LS7 Fast or MSD would help over the LS3 intakes that was one big reason I put thought into an LS7 top end. Currently has the ls3 fast 102

I agree that camshaft is too small for your application.
There is more power to be had.
ivc is too early and exhaust opening is too late.
I recommend a 246/254 113lsa +4
You will make more power and have an extended rpm range.
Will work great with your ported fast.
