engine swap I have a 2008 silverado. With the 4.8 ly2 I'm switching out for a lq4 6.0. I was planning on just buying a lq4 shortblock, will everything from my 4.8 top end bolt right up to the lq4 block? Will my ecm run the lq4 at its full potentail. And I'm pretty sure I have a 4l60e transmission. That should bolt right up too right?
4.8 > 6.0 All your front drive acc. and intake n such will work. However if you use your 4.8 heads on a 6.0, your comp ratio may be too high due to the small comp chamber of the 4.8 head.
The ECM should be fine but will need to be retuned for the more cubes n more fuel. BTW prolly larger injectors also ?

Yeah I was worried that the stock heads would have too much compression. Would anyone know how big the combustion chambers actually are in the 4.8 heads. And how much horsepower and torque my stock 4l60e will take
