Default is it ok if i use this piston???

i bought a set of low mileage LQ9 pistons and rods and as i was cleaning the carbon off of them i came across this very small chip on this piston. will it be ok to use in a 6.0 iron block or should i buy new pistons? here are the pics

I would guess it won't nick the sidewalls and it's no more a hot spot point than the '5" in there. I also would think if you're rings are good, not a compression issue either.

Good luck.

File the edge to make sure it's not sticking out and should be fine in the cylinder.

does anybody know the part number for LQ9 gm pistons? they are not the same as LS2 pistons correct? because LQ9 pistons come out of the cylinder hole to get 10.1.1 with a 72cc chamber head.

it will work as long as there isn't any sharp edges and the side is smooth.
