Electric cut out on exhaust im looking into buying some electric cut outs in the sometime near future. My quesion is how many will i need and where would be the best place to put them on the exhaust? i want them to be LOUD but still sound good. i have a y pipe exhaust and long tube headers, so where would ya'll suggest i put them on my exhaust?
For a single the location of choice is before the axle...there is a small area where it can sit.

DMH cutouts are the way to go! Now some cat backs like the Borla that I have has a space that will directly bolt right up to your DMH. It is really nice to have, one great benifit is that with the cut out open the exhaust is still dumping out back of the car and not under neath.
Hey man it's chris tatum from palmetto. Have you ever listened to your car open headers?I have and it's pretty unbearable not to mention sounds horrible, unless your full throttle... My motor is pretty built tho, I put headers on a friends stock lt1 the other day and it was pretty quiet comparitively, still sounded like ****.. Are you going for sound, power, or both?
