Gen IV to Gen III help
Gen IV to Gen III help So I blow my 6.0L LY6(58x) this weekend, #7 has only 70psi of compression. I find a deal on a LQ9 408(24x) Gen III, my car is a 99 so I already did the conversion to Gen IV. So, I've a couple of question about returning to Gen III.
Can I reuse my LS2 timing cover with 2X gear with front cam sensor?
Can I use my LS3 valley cover with pcv system if I relocate the knock sensor on the side of the Gen 3 block.
Can I use my LY6 crank sensor on my Gen 3 block or it cannot read on a 24x wheel?

For the valley cover, I'm more concern about the 11 holes cover versus 10 holes gen 3, and I need to plug the cam sensor hole on the block.
I supposed crank and cam sensor signal change according to the reading on the wheel or gear, so it should work.
I hope someone can confirm this, because I got No answer on the gen 3 forum..
