mufflex 4 inch exhaust

what gains have you seen on big cube motors 427 or bigger with changing to the 4 inch exhaust I have the 2inch kooks headers but just a borla 3 inch behind it I saw 15 hp by just opening the cap on the borla.

Then drop the borla. You may see 5-or 8 hp not really worth it.

it makes 580 rwhp thru the borla uncapped im sure it is limiting it some what

i remember seeing patg saying that the 4" cutout on his 500rwhp h/c 346 build was worth another 5-6rwhp. So on your car I would say maybe 8-10rwhp, that is just a guess.

I thought about that too. My Y is 3" but goes into a 4" I pipe with a 4" cutout. I feel instant gainbut dyno says 4rhp feels like more. I also go into a borla design over the axle with a cut out there too. I can't drive it with that one closed it feels like I lost a cylinder. Only when the wife gets in do I close it, for a quiet ride. I want to go mufflex.
