Default Manual to auto LS7????

Anyone know what the complexity and costs of swapping in an auto from a new Camaro or even a G8 into a C6Z06 would be? I am just not cut out to shift, no matter how hard I try, lol.

RPM transmission converted my 08 Z06 to an auto. It will cost up to 10k if you have them do it.

You'll need to swap an auto from another vette.

Yeah, the vette transmission configuration is totally different than other cars (transaxle).

You should post on craigslist and see if you can find someone wanting to go manual from an automatic. I'm sure there are more than a few.

The problem is you have to modify your harness and get your ecm setup for an automatic. It's doable, but it does need to be taken into consideration. Bet bet is to send your computer to a tuner and they can flash it with an automatic OS. Other than that if you found another C6 owner that wants to swap, it would probably be pretty doable, especially with a good lift. I guess even the ECM and harness could be swapped, but you'll have to have a tuner change the VIN.

I wonder if you could find a suitable c6/owner whod be down to take both cars to a shop and have them just swap all the parts from one to the other, im sure theyd love all the manual stuff from the z and you could do a stall while theyre swapping.

Youre gonna want more than a mail order tune for the trans to like the ls7 and for you to like it back. Have a reputable dyno shop youd trust to do this stuff?
