Default ls3 valve covers

Guys are LS3 valve covers taller than the stock LQ4 covers or are they the same. I'm needing about 1/2 more room for my rockers.

If not is there a part number that I can order.

Thank you for your help.

i believe they are the same.. what rockers are you running? also have you tried pulling the thin sheetmetal oil shields off? it might give you the room you needed

I'm using the comp cam 1.85 adjustable one's with the studs and guide plates.

I removed the tin on one side but wasn't sure what to do for oil baffles.

I can get them to fit by remove the tin from both sides and doing some grinding.

What would be the best way to fix the oil baffles back.

I ordered a 04 ls6 valley cover to use but I'm not sure my supercharger will fit with it.

Thank you for the help.

I wouldn't worry about the baffles. I removed them from one side. (I'm running ls3 yella terra roller rockers.) I thought I was getting interference, turns out I wasn't, long story short I'm not running baffles on the passenger side which is usually the only one vented by the PVC. I don't have any noticeable oil loss, ( but that will vary greatly engine by engine) if your really worried get a saiko michi catch can. I know I butchered the spelling on that haha..

Ps, try it out first but the only outside difference I remember when I put my ls6 valley cover on was the vent coming from the front.
