LSX 376 Knock Sensor
LSX 376 Knock Sensor I am currently finishing up a crate motor lsx 376 motor swap in my 1990 camaro and it has a modified harness molded into a 99 ls1 harness. The ls1 harness has the single connections and the motor came with knock sensors but they are the 2 wire connector. I know can't run the 2 wire connector with ls1 harness, but does anybody know if i have to tap the side of the block to run the old style ls1 knock sensors? Hope this makes sense.
If the valley cover doesn't have the holes for the sensors then yes you will need to drill the block. In some cases if the motor mounts don't get in the way you can use holes already in the block.
