Default intake opinion

Im on a budget and i found this edelborck intake. I am building a 402 stroker and and im having to reuse some of my ls1 parts and i dont want the 98 ls1 intake. I read that this gives 30hp more compared to the ls6 intake. has anyone used this or has any opinions on this intake?

i don't think that's going to fit under stock hood. if that's what you have, also you said budget, you will need to buy eccesories, like fuel rails, t/b ect...

Thanks i didnt even think about hood clearance. right now it just has the stock ws6 hood. As for cost for accessories and intake. Do you think It would still be cheaper then doing the fast intake with more HP per dollar? Or would i just be better off sucking it up and buying the fast intake? Right now i have $2000 to spend and i still need a camshaft. Just wanna make sure i get the best for my money.

look in the parts classifieds and find a used fast intake, but you could easily get a fast intake and a cam for under $1200

Last winter i put a 402 in my camaro, and to keep cost down i left my ls6 intake and ported my t/b and put a truck 85mm maf, upgraded my inj 42lb racetronics , cam 236-242 duration 112,patriot heads stage 3, headders, made 457rwhp 442 tq but had drivability problems(bucking and surging) also was maxing out at 6000rpm after that my graph on my sheet went almost straight down, i am going to a diferent tuner this year and did not take chance on my set up and put a fast 102 intake and t/b,fuel rail, hoses,gauge, 100mm maf, 104 air lide, and bosch 42 lb inj(had no choice because for the fast 102 intake you need slime injectors, factory ls1 style inj) all im hoping is that i can get rid of my driveability probleme, and for the money i spent more HP, seems like it cost me like 3000$, if you want to do it for 2000 you will have to buy used.

Ya spend the money on some ls3 heads and intake with a matching cam.
