NVM didnt see manual temp gauge. they have the adapter for a elec

"On the back of the passenger's side cylinder head, there is an M12x1.5 port. Due to the small size of this port, you will not be able to use a mechanical temp gauge without drilling and tapping the head. An electric gauge is definitely the way to go here."

I put a Auto Meter manual water temp gauge in my LS1 head this past weekend, Go to O'Rilleys and in there gauge section, they have a universal set of gauge fittings there is like four of them in a pack $8.99, The fitting that i used, has a 1/4" male pipe threads. You will need to remove the plug on the back of the passenger head, and run a 1/4" pipe tap thew it, no drilling required . The probe on the manual gauge will fit the adapter fitting perfectly , use a little pipe tape on the fitting that will thread into the head. Remember that a pipe tap is tapered ,so dont run it all the way down, start the tap straight and tap about a 1/4 way in a stop and check the fitting, dont let the fitting free screw all the way in, pipe threads are tapered to help seal the threads. All so in the pack of fittings, there is a metric fitting 16mm X 1.5 that will fit the oil sending unit port on the back of the block if you want to put a manual or electric oil pressure gauge there. That what i did.
