Intake question for L92 into a 98 Camaro
Intake question for L92 into a 98 Camaro I am about to start swapping my spare L92 into my new 98 camaro that I am going to use as a daily driver.
I am curious if I could get away with tucking the truck intake manifold under the stock hood? Has anyone done this with success?
This is the intake manifold I am referring too...

It doesn't appear to be too much taller than the l76 car intake right? Or am I crazy??
Also...why is it that so many people use the L76 car intake for this conversion? Why couldn't I just use the stock LS3 intake manifold instead?

nope your crazy, it won't fit without cutting the cowl, i highly doubt you want to do that. The L67 is more desirable because the MAP sensor hold down is a tab style like the LS1, the LS3 is a screw down style. Can you use a LS3 intake? yeah, no problem. The LS3 intake can be had for less than $300 on ebay with fuel rail and injectors, thats a very good price.
